Five Star Airport Alliance is committed to working together to provide the highest quality systems, products and services to the aviation industry through our experience, innovation and integrity.
We are the official EXCLUSIVE manufacturer of The Horsley Company, G&T Conveyor and BAE Product lines. The Horsley Company was formed in 1928 and has earned a solid reputation throughout the baggage handling industry. G&T Conveyor was incorporated in 1987 and has over 25 years’ experience. All products lines are Manufactured at our facility in Salt Lake City, UT.
As of 2016, Five Star Airport Alliance is owned by the same managers that have worked in the Baggage Handling Industry for over 100 years combined. They operate and manage the day to day operations of our facilities located in Salt Lake City, Utah. They each have a vested interest in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Leadership
Shawna Wichtoski, VP and CFO
Ms. Wichtoski joined Five Star Airport Alliance in 2006 as a corporate accountant for the Horsley Company division in Ogden, UT. She was promoted as divisional controller in 2009 until the beginning of 2014 when she was promoted to VP and Controller for the entire organization. Currently Shawna is our VP, CFO, Board Member and Owner of FS

Safety
OSHA SHARP Certification:
Five Star Airport Alliance (FSAA) takes health and safety seriously and is committed to safeguarding the well being of our staff, customer, and the general public. FSAA has been presented with the OSHA SHARP Certification for our manufacturing facility which exemplifies our dedication to safety, training, education, and the elimination of hazards in the workplace. The award was given in the fall of 2009, renewed for three years in 2011 and an additional three years in 2014. In addition, FSAA has received recognition from our customers at multiple project sites for noteworthy safety achievements.
SAFETY Act Certification:
Since 2008, Five Star Airport Alliance is proud to have been designated and certified as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT) under the SAFETY Act by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The QATT is technology designed, developed, modified, procured or sold for the purpose of preventing, detecting, identifying or deterring acts of terrorism. Currently, Five Star Airport Alliance is the only baggage handling systems provider to continually maintain this designation and certification.
The SAFETY Act was enacted by Congress as a part of the Homeland Security Act of 2002. Its purpose is to provide liability protection to companies designated and certified as QATT so that they are not deterred from producing or commercializing products or technologies from anti-terrorist attacks. Additionally, the SAFETY Act automatically grants the same protection to customers, vendors or suppliers of a QATT if it fails to prevent or help to mitigate a terrorist attack.
Five Star Airport Alliance strives for continual improvement in all aspects of its operations. Obtaining this designation and certification as a supplier of qualified anti-terrorism technology along with more than 80 years of delivering airport projects on time and on budget, helps establish Five Star Airport Alliance as a leader within the airport baggage handling system industry.
